Today is a great day to begin if you haven't already. One of the life changing and joyful habits I've formed recently is that "attitude of gratitude". I always felt that I was thankful and appreciative of people, things, situations, etc. However, when I truly put forth the thoughtful effort of being "thankful" for just about everything, well, that changed my life and my mind. Thankful for family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, the parking spot right in front when it's pouring rain, stubbing my toe (it could have been worse), for arriving on time, for arriving late, for deep pain and sorrow for it has brought the most amazing joy, clarity and positive change. For health challenges, for without them, I wouldn't be making so many simply better choices.
Take a moment today and many moments every day to truly be thankful for life's ups, downs, challenges and joys and you will begin to know true joy and happiness. Go ahead, try it. I did and I am so thankful.
