Ever consider what it takes to plan for good health?
For years I’ve worked with individuals and business owners to educate, plan and invest appropriately for goals. There is alot of time spent putting together a financial plan through conversation, fact gathering, education, forcasting, risk profiling, and more. Since spending the last 4 years focused on educating myself on health and wellness I see what I, like most people, have been missing.
Have you got a plan for your future vitality?
Any ideas of what I mean by that? Well, I mentioned that I have spent the last 4 years focused on health and wellness. After taking what I now see as a sabbatical to “get healthy” I learned that I, like so many others, have autoimmune disease as well as many food intolerances. Autoimmune disease means that my own immune system is attacking my body’s healthy cells. It can affect one or many different types of body tissue and it can cause changes in organ function. I have also found that the symptoms that occur are wide ranging such that it’s often difficult, as in my case, for doctors to diagnose accurately.
Think for a minute not only about what you'd like to have and be doing at age 75 or 80 but also, how would you like to feel?
I’m happy to say that I am in sooooo much better health than I was just 4 short years ago now that I’ve been planning for my current and future better health. Simply better choices is what it’s all about. It can be overwhelming otherwise. I hope you’ll take these tips in the spirit in which they are shared, for your future vitality!
What's your Total Load?
It's what goes In, On and Around your Body...(Food,lotions,shampoos,cosmetics,household cleaning products, plastic containers, etc.)
I can’t stress enough how a “total load” improvement changed my life once I started making changes that I was able to control. Those changes were things like; changes to what I was eating; changes to what I was putting on the largest organ in my body(skin); and changes to what products I use to clean my home. I had no idea how impactful it would be. Four years and many better choices later, I feel so much better!
So, in addition to a focus on our family’s dreams and goals and what it will take financially to achieve, my husband and I now plan for our families health as well. We have also incorporated this into our financial planning and investment business to help our clients. It goes hand in hand with financial planning.
Truly, what does it matter how much wealth you have if you don't have your health? So incredibly important!
There are more tips I’ll share here in the future. It’s important not to get overwhelmed by trying to change everything all at once or you just might not make those healthy changes.
