Here are 10 Positive Commitments you can make to get your confidence, fashion and health on in 2016!
Detox your face: I will wash my face every night. Why? It’s been said that if you miss a night of washing away the makeup and toxins your face can age 3 days. True or not, it’s out there and I’m not about to age any faster! I’m washin’!
A lil’ Sassy: I will buy myself a pair of Kick-A__ shoes! Maybe red or leopard print heels. Maybe it’s taken me a while, but, better late than never! How about you?
Declutter: I will organize! Organize what? My closet and my dresser drawers first. Why? Need you ask? They’re a mess for one thing, and secondly, both are my personal space. Decluttering your own personal space can bring amazing clarity to the rest of your life.
Detox your Bod: I will shower every night! The best time to wash is at night. Think of it, you’ve gone through an entire day in this world of toxins. Removing them is critical to your health as approximately 60% of what is on your skin goes directly into your blood stream.
The Best Fit: I will buy a great fitting pair of jeans! How many jeans do you have in your drawer that you wear regardless of how they fit? Personally, currently, I don’t have a pair that I feel confident in. Why? Well, the extra pounds that arrived somehow over the holidays, the wash that’s not quite what friends are wearing these days, and more. So, I will spend an entire shopping day if I must, to try on and find the absolute best fit and current style so that I have a confidence building choice in my closet! You should too!
Beauty: I will wash my makeup brushes every month. So important! Bacteria builds quickly on these babies. Just a simple monthly wash with a clean soap like Beautycounter brand, and leave them to dry with the handles up/bristles down. I’m putting it on my calendar, how else or I’ll forget!
2016 on Trend: I will add some color into my all black and grey wardrobe! Yes, I still love those basics, but, the fashion train is leaving us behind people and personally, I want to get on! At least for a few miles. Something in the 2016 Hottest colors of perhaps “rose quartz” or ‘serenity” which is a tranquil blue. I can do that, can’t you?
Get your Glow On!: I will keep a healthy looking glow, but, I don’t want to sit in the sun. Well, maybe I do, but, I don’t want to age my skin any further or add to the potential for cancer. So, I’ve done my homework and found an awesomely safe self-tanner. Doesn’t streak or look orange. It’s from Beauty by Earth and it’s as clean and safe as it gets folks!
Meditate: I will continue my morning ritual of meditation and prayer to start my day. And, if I need it, I’ll take another 10 minutes in the midst of things to meditate. Makes a huge difference in creativity and focus and it’s easy to do.
Attitude of Gratitude: I will be thankful for the good the bad and the ugly of each day. No matter how small or large, being thankful brings so much more joy to life.
